The Stay In School Project is an educational support initiative of DEW Empowerment Foundation aimed at ensuring that vulnerable girls are able to remain in school and continue their education regardless of financial challenges or social limitations.
The project was created in response to the growing number of girls who are at risk of dropping out of school due to poverty, lack of educational materials, inadequate support systems, and difficult living conditions.
We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future through education.
Removing the barriers to learning.
Through the Stay In School Project, DEW Empowerment Foundation provides practical support that helps remove barriers to learning and school attendance.
Our interventions include the distribution of school uniforms, exercise books, writing materials, educational supplies, mentorship support, and advocacy for girl child education.
Restoring dignity, confidence, and hope.
Beyond material support, the project also focuses on restoring dignity, confidence, and hope in vulnerable girls. Many children struggle silently with feelings of shame and exclusion caused by the inability to afford basic school needs.
By meeting these needs, we help create a more encouraging and supportive learning experience for them.
Supporting families and caregivers.
The project also recognises the important role of families and caregivers in a child's education. Through community engagement, women empowerment initiatives, and financial literacy programmes, we support mothers and caregivers with knowledge and opportunities that can strengthen household stability and improve educational outcomes for their children.
